When my wife and I bought our home in San Carlos in 1996, it had been after looking for more than a year. At the open house, we finally realized that we found a great home. There were scores of buyers and agents going through the house and I sat in the back yard thinking "what are these people doing in MY house?" I felt like we owned it even though we hadn't even put an offer on the table. It felt like a perfect fit and we have been happy ever since.

My goal as a real estate broker is to have my buyer clients experience the same feeling. Conversely, I want my seller clients to know they they are receiving fair compensation for their home and that the buyers are a perfect fit. 

To do that, I apply my more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience at companies like Bank of America, American Century Investments, Cashin Company Realtors and Intero Real Estate Services to help customers make wise, thoughtful and profitable investment decisions. I have succesfully listed and sold home on the peninsula from $700k to over $4 million in value.

My expertise in and love for real estate stems from years of being involved in the business. In fact, in high school, I spent my summers painting and fixing up my father's rental properties on the peninsula. After more than 30 years, I continue to help manage these homes.

My wife Sophie also caught the bug. When we bought our house, she fixed up our garden. Soon neighbors and friends asked her to help them with their gardens. Both Sophie and I grew up in Palo Alto and have lived on the peninsula for more than 40 years. Our two daughters have lived in San Carlos since birth, attended public schools and are active in soccer, dance and other activities. This experience has given me the knowledge of the real estate trends, topography, climate, school systems, and business landscape that is invaluable to my clients.

I graduated with a BA in Political Science from Whitman College and earned an MBA from Santa Clara University. I have a real estate broker's license and enjoy writing on various issues for Patch.com and Examiner.com. In my spare time, I am writing a book on my family history and enjoy cycling.
