In 2004, Intero embarked on a program with the City of Cupertino to help reduce the trash that was being produced by the Cupertino office. By simply providing each desk with a large recycling bin coupled with a much smaller trash bin, this office was able to reduce its trash output by more than 35%. In addition, each conference room and the kitchen were outfitted with large recycling bins to help reduce the trash output.
